Dear Tharen and Elizabeth, I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how much the music of your Dargaard records has meant to me. The first piece I listened to was "Thy Fleeing Time," and it is still hands down my favorite song by Dargaard. I have been a writer for many years now, and no music more beautifully captures my interior fantasy world than Dargaard. If I ever get my books finished and published, I want Dargaard to write the soundtrack. In all seriousness, I noticed in an interview that the two of you are interested in mystical concepts and magic. I was wondering if there were any particular books or other works that inspired you or informed your music? I'd be very curious to know. All the best, N.C.

hi and thank you very much! our interest is scattered about various cultures, therefor it is not easy to answer this in one question, and of course not in a forum;) good luck with your books! hopefully we'll be able to read them once published tharen

Hello nightchameleon. For all Dargaard works I have listened, I detect more a historical/philosophical approach to their lyrics. Especially through the use of Latin language.
Okay there are hints of mysticism in some songs as well, but not as straightforward like in other bands like Therion (e.g. Secret of the runes)
I think Tharen was very diplomatic in his answer, anyway good luck with your books!!
